It is no secret that injuries caused during contact sports can be greatly reduced if an athlete is taught the proper techniques, and the athlete is confident when he/she engages in contact elements. Our certified coaches constantly work to ensure that our athletes possess the proper techniques and confidence needed to safely participate in rugby. The purchase of additional training equipment will provide our athletes with an additional level of safety as they practice the various contact elements of rugby.

The safety of our young players is the #1 priority of Westside Youth Rugby. The money raised through the 2010 fundraiser will be allocated directly to the purchase of additional safety and training equipment.
