A message from our GIRLS...

The girls team for SWARM originally started from the Westside summer 7`s league. The girls on the team consist of high schoolers/ teenagers. Yes we know. Who would be crazy enough to teach a bunch of teenage girls a sport as tough and aggressive as rugby? Well we have great coaches and they are helpful during the season. Our team is really like a family to every girl. We have many team parties and almost every girl shows up to them!

The game of rugby is a TEAM effort and everybody on the pitch (field) needs to be a team player. There are no super-stars and every girl gets their chance to shine. Whether it be in a scrum, a ruck, a maul, or scoring. Every girl has to put 150% effort into games in order to be successful.

 We encourage everybody to come out and watch this team play. Fans are great to have and we enjoy having someone there for us after the games! Family is a key factor to any sport. With the support of families and friends cheering you on you feel the need to do better. This sport is most definitely not a one man show but we think once you can watch the game you may feel the need to play!

Our girls are open to anybody who will give the sport a chance! There is no judgment if you find that rugby just isn’t the sport for you. All teenage girls are welcome to join! We welcome anyone who will give it a try!
